Music Appreciation Talks at Blackheath Halls with Matthew Taylor
Summer 2010 Course: MOZART - THE CONCERTOS
Since 1991 Matthew has been running a series of music appreciation illustrated
talks at Blackheath Halls. Each term is devoted to one chosen subject, usually
the works of one composer, group or theme in which Matthew illustrates at the
piano and plays recordings.
The next 10 week course has talks on Monday mornings from 10am to 12
noon in the Recital Room at Blackheath Halls. The course runs from:
Monday 12th April to Monday 28th June 2010 (except 31st May).
The course fee is £65 payable at the first session.
Newcomers can have a taster for free.
Course Description
Mozart was the most prolific and multifaceted creator of concertos: piano
(27), double and triple piano, violin, all four woodwinds, horn and flute and
harp. Matthew Taylor will trawl through and illustrate the highlights of these
great works.
